Have your carpets always fresh.

When it comes to carpet, making sure it is well cared for is more than simply a case of a regular vacuuming and the occasional remedial spot removal treatments.Employ a proper campaign and you can drastically extend the longevity of the carpet in question, helping to keep it looking fresh for as long as possible-but remember there is a difference between cleaning and maintenance.Cleaning is the removal of accumulated dirt and is carried out when soiling becomes visible, while maintenance is a planned procedure starting on the day the carpet is installed and carried out on a regular basis to retain a consistent, high level of appearance. It is a combination of both these that will help the carpet to maintain its looks-but as the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
With this in mind, planning a correct maintenance program for your carpet will do much to enhance longevity, but just where do you start?Firstly,it is important to recognize that maintenance fits into four categories: preventative, regular, interim and periodic.

                                        Preventative
Carpet will inevitably soil and the longer you let this dirt build up the more difficult and expensive it becomes to rectify. Installing adequate entrance mats at all external entry points and not just the main entrances. Also,do your best to protect the carpet from spillages where they are likely to occur, such as around drinks machines.
Mats or carpet protector should do the job nicely.

                                        Regular/routine
Vacuuming is only part of the regular maintenance and should be carried out daily on the most trafficked areas, though it can be reduced to weekly on less trodden ares.Other things to include are cleaning off the entrance mats-daily-and mopping up spills and spillages as quickly as possible as the older they get the harder they are to shift.
                                        Interim
This is when you start to see the real benefit of removing surface dirt, which dulls the carpet,to bring the carpet back to life.It can be accomplished by techniques such as dry extraction or by bonnet cleaning.Large areas of carpet can be freshened up and ready to walk on in no time.
                                         Periodic
This will give the carpet a real intensive, thorough clean removing deep-seated dirt from the base of the carpet, rejuvenating fibre and making everything seem as good as new. Without doubt the best method here is hot water extraction cleaning as known as steam carpet cleaning.Having your carpets cleaned every 12 months by professional carpet cleaner will really help to care for significant capital investment that carpets represent saving you up to 40%in replacement cost.
