Carpet cleaners Walthamstow E17.

Another carpet cleaning story that I hope will grab your attention, this time from the busy region of the East London's suburban - Walthamstow E17. I was called in by a young man who had a terrible problem with a carpet in one of the rooms in his rented property. He was leaving with his young friends in a four-bedroom house in the heart of Walthamstow E17. A few months earlier he accommodated another friend of his, who had lost his job and had no money to go anywhere else. He gave him the only vacant room in the house and were peacefully leaving together by the day he found
the room empty with not a trace from his friend, who had moved out without notice. The carpet in the room looked disgusting. It was heavily stained with wine stains, makeup stains, coffee and tea stains, mud stains, all covered with dirt by the everyday usage.

A professional carpet cleaning service was the only thing that could have saved my customer from spending a significant amount of money because this was a rented property and my client was afraid of losing his deposit when his landlord notices the damage.
Replacing the carpet wasn't an alternative either, as he was quoted £600.00 for a new carpet plus installation, and another £350.00 in case he wanted the underlay replaced too. So I commenced my 9 step extraction cleaning process.

Look at the result. Everything came out. You can see on the picture some burnt places happened from improper ironing, which is permanent damage because the fibre is melted not stained. Fortunately, these burnings were from the previous tenants, and my customer wasn't responsible for this.
This result was a huge-money-saving result, and I've been delighted to help a customer in such desperate trouble. Sometimes we do not just provide professional cleaning services, but we help people in need either by saving them hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds or by making their environment healthier.

It is such a great feeling.

Carpet and upholstery cleaning in East London E11.

As a carpet cleaner, one of my biggest privileges is to meet different people leaving in different areas on an everyday basis. For myself going to Wanstead, Snaresbrook, Aldersbrook, Cann Hall or Leytonstone is really down the road journey because of my locality. Among all my interesting cleaning services I had in this areas, I would like to share one of them that left a long-lasting trace in my memory.
I was called in for some carpet and upholstery cleaning in Wanstead E11 area. From all things my customer wanted me to do, one particular armchair was his biggest priority. This armchair had a sentimental value for him because it used to be his mother's favourite place before she died.

The armchair hasn't been cleaned for ages and looked dirty and faded.

No need to tell you that the entire service depended on what result I would achieve on the armchair. With the utmost concentration, I commenced my 9 step extraction cleaning method and very soon I had some indication of success.

Look at the difference. The fabric was coming up in it's best obtainable condition.

After spending two long hours on the armchair only, the result was phenomenal. Ignoring some minor fabric damages due to wear and tear, it looked like a brand new again.

A happy approval by my customer was a massive relieve for me in such an emotional service. Well done. Another happy customer, another high efficient service by Salamander Clean.Dirty and heavily stained carpets, upholstery that needs thorough restoration is no longer something that bothers the residents of East London the E11 area, (Wanstead, Snaresbrook, Aldersbrook, Cann Hall and Leytonstone) thanks to the local cleaners from Salamander Clean.

Hope this story's interesting for you.

Carpet cleaners in Palmers Green N13

Another story of carpet cleaning in north London area which had an emotional finish.
The place,a normal size lounge in a house in Palmers Green that has been an epicenter
of a wild party the day before, and which should have been brought back to it's
normal because my client's parents were coming back from holiday the day after.
The carpet was very stained and dirty and it was about to be transformed.

It is not very clear on the picture what a mess this carpet was,but I assure you,
it wasn't something that would have been appreciated by the parents. So I have
commenced my 9 step carpet cleaning method and very soon the carpet was
turning into something that used to be.

The result was fantastic, every single stain came out together with a huge amount of dirt.
No need to mention how excited my customer was.

Carpet cleaners in Wood Green & Alexandra Palace N22

Carpet cleaning in North London has always been a good experience to me and my
colleagues from Salamander Clean.People leaving in Wood Green or Alexandra Palace
are worm and welcome, and the place itself is quiet,as most parking places there are free
and easy to park on,which is a crucial factor for a stress-less service.Over the past years
we provided plenty of carpet cleaning services any of which interesting in it's own way,
but I would like to tell you for one of these experiences.
I was called in by a customer who wanted to have her carpets and furniture cleaned,
because of a family event later that week and some guests coming over. She had booked
all carpeted areas in her house except one bedroom as she told me that the carpet was
irreparably damaged and she didn't see a point of having it cleaned.
A problem was some staining in the middle and a huge stain across the wall as result from radiator leak.

This type of stains are very difficult to remove and require prolonged dwell time.Chances
are never guaranteed despite the powerful equipment and chemicals. As a professional
who loves to challenge even the toughest stains,I offered a free of charge try on that stain.
She didn't mind and I sprayed the carpet with a special chemical and had to come and
agitate it while caring out the cleaning of the other rooms. After two hours of doweling
time and frequent agitation it was time to make a sample.

The result was brilliant. The chemical has done very good job as there was a very good
chance the entire stain to disappear. After cleaning the whole carpet,it came up times
better than it was as the minor staining in the middle and the leak stain were gone.

The next step was to replace the carpet's underlay because it was soaked up with dirty
water.Everything was fixed, and  hundreds of pounds was saved for not buying and installing a new carpet.
In recent days where every penny counts,it is probably better to find an alternative how to fix something
before throwing it away and replace it with brand new.A good lesson was taught.

How long it would take to dry out my carpets after carpet cleaning?

Without a doubt this is the most asked question by my customers when having their carpets cleaned.Surely no one knows with precise accuracy due to the number of factors affecting the drying time, but I will try to draw the whole picture for you.

Which factors should be taken into account when estimating the drying time?

 Carpet cleaning equipment.

A very powerful equipment will suck up more water than a conventional one, hence it will leave drier carpets.

Carpet cleaner's technique.

Some carpet cleaning technicians tend to overlook a vital procedure in the whole process,by not doing some extra dry passes with the cleaning attachment(wand) over the wet carpet, which in turn leads to damper carpets left behind. Some extra dry pass done,- some more water sucked up.

Degree of soiling.

The dirtier the carpets are, the more water is to be used.Let me give you this simple example. How much of water and soap will use a person washing his/her hands before dinner who has spent the last two hours watching TV. Not much right? What about a person who has spent the last two hours repairing some minor problem on his/her car. Certainly a lot more.So here is the difference, very dirty carpets require greater amount of water to be cleaned which means more water absorbed by the carpet, hence longer drying time.

Nature and length of the carpet fibre.

Nature carpet fibers like wool and cotton have much greater moisture retention and absorbency than synthetic fibers,(polyester, nylon) hence the nature fibers will dry  out slower.High piled carpets require more water than short piled carpets.

Room's temperature.

The water tends to evaporate quicker on high temperature.Via winter if the heating system is  on,it would significantly reduce the drying time.

Strength of airflow.

A good airflow is absolutely necessary for fast dry carpets.Open windows and doors will allow an air to be passed over the carpet which in itself creates vacuum beneath the airflow thereby drawing up the moisture out the substrate surface.During the winter the best way to speed up the drying time is to keep windows and doors widely open while the heating is on.

Weather.

The weather is a huge factor when it comes to drying. In sunny day when the humidity is lower the drying time would be much shorter than in rainy day with increased humidity. While the first two factors are up to the carpet cleaning provider, some of the rest factors are up to the customer.Switching the heating on when the weather is cold and keeping the windows open for certain time is  an after service care and depends on us, - the customers.Back to a question though.Having this things in mind I would say 2 - 10 hours drying time would represent high quality carpet cleaning service and good after service care.
Hope this helps

Till later.

Encapsulation dry cleaning.

Another very popular method of dry carpet cleaning. It is very
similar to Dry powder cleaning because of it's feature of
encapsulating the soil within the carpet fibres prior to be vacuumed
away afterwards.

How it works!

No need to mention that the carpet must be thoroughly vacuumed before any
other operation. If any stains are present an appropriate stain remover is
applied. Then the carpet is sprayed with special cleaning solution which is left
for 2 - 5 minutes dwell time, and then it is agitated by either special machine
with counter rotating brushes or rotary drive machine with brush attached to
it's drive plate. Upon agitation the chemical is inserted deep down whiting the
carpet fibres where it crystallizes and encapsulate the soil in countless crystals.
These crystals which contain an encapsulated soil, dirt and bacteria are left to dry
completely for 20 - 30 minutes and are vacuumed away leaving the carpet clean and dry.
Bare in mind this method is a maintenance process not restoration,
and does not have either the power and the depth of the extraction cleaning, but it is
a perfect alternative when the time is an issue and prolonged drying times are not
acceptable. The method should be part of a maintenance program and should be carried
out on regular basis. It is not suitable for severe stained and heavily soiled carpets.

The advantages and the disadvantages on this method are similar to the other dry
cleaning methods,as without a doubt the lack of drying time is the biggest plus.
No shrinkage and cellulosic browning as well as good cleaning and sanitizing capabilities.
Not very efficient stain removal and not very reliable on heavily dirty carpets.

Dry compound carpet cleaning.

This is the most popular method of dry cleaning carpets, also referred as
Host dry compound. This method is suitable for even most delicate carpet fibres.

How it works.

A carpet is thoroughly vacuumed. Then special stain removers are applied onto the
stains.A special dry cleaning powder is sprinkled onto the carpet either by hand
or with a special applicator. In heavily soiled areas a fine pre-spray may be used.
Then the powder is agitated by special machine with two counter rotating brushes
located on it's base. The basic idea is:by agitating the powder deep down into the carpet,
the powder come into contact with the soil which,is dislodged from carpet and trapped
into the powder. After agitation the powder is left for 20 minutes on the carpet, before
being vacuumed up together with the adhered soil. There are a couple of types of brushes
with soft, medium or hard bristles designed for different type carpets. It's very important that
the correct brushes are selected to suit the carpet type.
The method is ideal where rooms are to be put back into service quickly, and it is the best
for sisal carpets, coir carpets, sea-grass carpets ,jute carpets, silk carpets.
When used on normal (not water sensitive) carpets it is best to be in conjunction with
periodic extraction cleaning to prevent a build up of residual medium deposits which are left behind.
Without periodic deep extraction cleaning the medium itself can become the source of resoiling problem.

Advantages:                                                       Disadvantages:

20 minutes drying time                                     Not very efficient stain removal
Excellent cleaning and                                      It is not the deepest clean.
sanitizing capabilities.                                       Can become a source of resoiling
No shrinkage
No cellulosic browning
No harsh chemicals
Safest carpet cleaning method.
No came back stains.
Safe for children and pets.
